Program Overview

Step into a world where nature’s wonders come alive with the "Kyushu Crane Odyssey" Imagine standing amidst the beauty of Japan’s winter landscape as over 10,000 cranes take to the skies in a stunning sunset spectacle. In Izumi, Kagoshima, you’ll witness Hooded and White-naped Cranes in their thousands—an awe-inspiring sight that will leave you speechless.

But the adventure doesn’t stop there. Over five days, you’ll explore Kyushu’s diverse birding hotspots, from the vibrant mudflats of Ariake Bay to lush forests, encountering over 100 bird species. Keep your binoculars ready for rare sightings like the Black-faced Spoonbill, Saunder’s Gull, and Japanese endemic Green Pheasant and Japanese Woodpecker.
